CHECK IN
Planning your arrival
You will receive an email with check in instructions and our address. It will include your personal door code which will be activated at 4pm on the day of your arrival.
Parking: Parking is available in front of the building in the parking lot on a first come first serve basis. There is additional overflow parking available in a small lot behind the condo building, just over the bridge. The town has additional free municipal parking behind the liquor store a block away.
Do not park on the street overnight. The town will ticket cars parked on the street overnight.
Check out
Check out is at 11 am. Late check out must be approved in advance. Our cleaning team usually arrives at 11:15 am to prepare for the next guests. Please be prompt.
Before you go
Please help our housekeepers prepare for the next guests by doing the following:
- Set the heat to 55 when leaving
- We’d love it if you loaded the dishwasher.
- Please pile your used linens in the bathroom.
- Empty the refrigerator.
- Place trash in the outside trash bin located on the left side of the parking lot.
- Close and lock all of the windows and close the front door securely.
Lost and left behind items
Don’t forget your phone charger!
We’d be happy to ship your items left behind via Priority Mail. There’s a minimum $25 fee, depending on the cost of postage and packing time/materials needed.
ABOUT OUR HOME
House Rules
- Quiet time is after 9:30pm, please keep the noise no louder than a normal conversation level.
- Our smoking policy is firm, no smoking of any kind indoors.
- Our pet policy is firm, no pets of any kind are allowed due to health reasons.
WiFi and Internet
You’ll find the wifi password displayed near the TV.
Television
We provide ROKU TV with free movies and app access. We use the guest mode for ROKU which means you can log into your own accounts and apps.
Here’s how it works, you’ll be prompted to enter your check out date when opening the app first time. Any login information you enter including passwords will be erased at your pre-selected time on check-out day. Please bring your account information and log-in passwords for apps or channels you are planning to watch.
We have several apps preloaded such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, VUDU and more.

You’ll find a courtesy tray of Keurig coffee, tea, creamer and sweeteners to get you started just in case you need a quick refresh before heading out to explore and find the local grocery.

Wood kitchen countertops
Our countertops are wood. Please do not cut on them (use a cutting board) or put anything hot on them. If you spill something that will stain please wipe it up promptly.
Trash
- Two cans are located under the cabinet to the left of the refrigerator.
- One is for trash and the smaller one is for recyclables.
- There are additional trash bags in the cabinet to the right of the kitchen sink.
There are trash dumpsters for both trash and recycled items located outside to the left of the parking lot.
LAUNDRY
There is a public pay per use washer and dryer in the building. It’s located on the first floor by the elevators.
The door code is 5410.
BEDROOMS
Our Mill Place condo sleeps 4 and has two bedrooms, one with a queen and one with a full bed.
You’ll find crisp 100% cotton sheets, a comfortable mattress, fluffy down alternative duvets and down pillows in each bedroom.
BATHROOMS
There is one bathroom which is stocked with white fluffy towels, top quality liquid hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. You will also find a standard size tub/shower combination. There is also a hair dryer.
Each bedroom has a wall mounted towel bar to hang bath towels and personal items to dry.
HEATING AND COOLING
Winter
You’ll find the thermostat located on the wall next to the kitchen. Feel free to adjust the temperature to your comfort level. We do ask that you help us keep the bills down by lowering the temperature to 65 when you leave for the day and down to 55 degrees when you check out.
Fireplace
There is a beautiful wood burning fire place in our home. Firewood is included for our guests.
You MUST open the damper before lighting the fireplace. Please read ALL of
the below directions before using the fireplace.
- Open and Close Damper: To open the damper, pull the metal handle towards you. To close it, push it away from you until it stays in place. The damper handle is located at the top right inside the fireplace. Close when not in use since cold air can travel in from the open chimney.
- Firewood: We provide firewood for your stay. There is a supply of firewood just inside the main entrance to the building under the stairs.
- Fire safety and size: Our wood pops and throws embers at times. It will burn holes in the floor so we ask that you follow these precautions. Don’t stack more than 3 logs at a time. Always close the screen attached to the fireplace and use the additional large fireplace screen in front of the fire.
- Lighting the fire: Open the damper first, stack crumbled paper, 1 fire starter and tuck into the wood logs. Light the starter with a match to start the fire. Starting the fire works best with small, thin logs or wood slivers.
- Do not leave a fire unattended.
- Ashes: Do not remove the ashes from the fireplace. Our housekeeping team will take care of this after your stay.
Summer
This year we’ve added window ac units to each of the bedrooms and a larger unit in the living area. We still have a few tower fans in the condo for those who like a lot of airflow.
To open the top of the window pull down at the finger pulls. To open the bottom, pull up. This helps circulate the air in the room. Hot air flows out of the top opening and cool air flows in.

Grocery
We have two markets nearby for groceries. Shaws Market on Pond Street in Ludlow.
Singleton’s, Market in Cavendish which we highly recommend you visit at least once if you’re a foodie, is located a few miles down the road. Great smoked and marinated meats and more.
Locals always boast you can buys your guns, liquor, food and more at Singletons. They even have a small upscale clothing dept.
